PREPARATION OF YOUR T-SHIRTS ~

~  Your T-shirts should be laundered and in good condition.  Do not use Fabric Softner or Dryer Sheets.

~  Please do not cut up your T-Shirts!  Send the entire shirt.  If the shirt is cut to small, we may not be able to use it.  Remnants will not be returned.

~  Please send at least one extra T-shirt.  This will help with the designing of your Quilt.  Unused T-shirts will be returned with your completed Quilt.

~  Stains and Discoloration on your T-shirts will show up on your Quilt. 

~  The sashing (fabric around each T-shirt block) is a Solid Color, 100% Cotton, Fabric.  Fabric will be used that compliments your T-shirts.  Black fabric sets off the shirts nicely.  If you would like a particular color sashing, just let me know.  I will be happy to work with you on your special requests.  I can not use denim as it ravels and the thicknes does not work in well with the T-shirts.  A solid color fabric is used for the Quilt back. (If you would like another style of printed fabric for the backing or the sashing, there may be an additional charge depending on the size of your quilt.)

QUALITY WORKMANSHIP ~

Before you choose a Company to make your T-shirt Quilt, consider not only the Price, but also how well the Quilt is made. 

We take great care to ensure the T-shirt designs are aligned correctly, straight and centered.  This is what makes the difference between an attractive looking quilt and one that looks off center and crooked.  A great deal of time is spent preparing the t-shirts for piecing, designing the quilt layout, and selecting the color combination that is just right for your quilt.  All t-shirts are specially prepared with a lightweight fusible backing to prevent stretching.  This process helps fill small holes, stop runs, and preserve some of your best loved, but very worn t-shirts.

Your Quilt will be pieced with Quality 100% cotton fabric.  It will be Quilted using Quality Hobbs 80/20 batting. 

Many T-shirt Quilts are priced without the fabric for the sashing, binding, and backing included.  There is an additional charge for the fabric.  Also, many T-shirt Quilts are tied, spot tacked, or stitched down the seam that joins the T-shirts together.  This can result in bunching, sagging and an unstable Quilt.  Our Quilts are quilted with a Long Arm Quilting Machine.  This allows for a stable and attractive finished quilt.  Specialized quilted designs can be used to add a Unique Touch to your Quilt.  Many T-shirt Quilt Companies tack on an additional charge for this Service.

Since we are a small business, we can accomodate most special requests.

CUSTOMER SERVICE ~

Please make sure and let us know when you send your T-shirts so we can be watching for them.  We will let you know when they arrive.  Upon their arrival, we will be in contact with you so we can make sure we understand your requests for your Quilt.  We will let you know when we expect to begin construction of your Quilt, and a possible completion date. 

We understand the treasured memories that your T-shirts hold.  They will be handled with extreme care and as if they were our very own.

CARING FOR YOUR QUILT ~

If your Quilt is not soiled, usually a good airing will freshen your Quilt.  Simply tumble it in a cool dryer for a few minutes and shake it out.

Your quilt can be washed in your washing machine and dried in the dryer.  You will want to wash in cool water on the Gentle cycle.  Don't forget, you will be washing colored shirts with white shirts.  Take all precautions to avoid bleeding of the fabric.  "Shout" makes Color Catcher Sheets which absorb and trap dyes.  Use a gentle laundry detergent.  Remove from the washer promptly.  Tumble in the dryer on low heat.

 PRICING ~

Quilt Pricing is for a completely finished, machine quilted, T-shirt Quilt.  We provide all materials and labor - you provide the T-shirts.  All you need to do is send your T-shirts to us, along with the attached Order Form.   We will turn them into a Beautiful Quilt and return them to you!

~  Our BASIC  T-shirt Quilt is made up of T-shirts that are all cut the same size, set in a grid pattern, sashing between the blocks, and a 3 inch outside border.  The T-shirt design should be no larger than 14" square.   We will try our best to include as much of the design as possible in shirts that are larger than 14".

~  Select the number of T-shirts you would like in your quilt.  Each side of a shirt counts as one shirt, for example, to use the front and back of a shirt, it counts as 2 shirts.

~  9 shirts - approximate finished size - 55" x 55"

~  12 shirts - approximate finished size - 55" x 73"
~  20 shirts - approximate finished size - 73" x 90.5"  - (twin size - covers top of mattress)
~  24 shirts - approximate finished size - 73" x 108" - (long twin size - will tuck under pillow)

~  30 shirts - approximate finished size - 90.5" x 108" - (full size)
~  36 shirts - approx. 108" x 108" - (queen size)
